Procurement Engineer / Electrical

Role Description The Procurement Engineer / Electrical is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo. This role is responsible for managing the procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and services required for construction and fit-out projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, quality standards, and budget constraints. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), analyzing bids, and coordinating purchase orders and deliveries in line with project schedules. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, project management, and site teams to verify material requirements, resolve supply issues, and support timely project execution. The Procurement Engineer / Electrical will maintain accurate procurement documentation, monitor market trends and pricing, and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and supplier relationships.
Qualifications

• Strong supplier management capabilities, including Supplier Evaluation and assessment of vendor performance.
• Proficiency in procurement operations, including handling Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes and preparing Purchase Orders.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills for comparing technical and commercial offers, optimizing cost, and supporting data-driven decisions.
• Effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, and preparing clear reports and documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience in construction, fit-out, or similar project-based environments, preferably with electrical systems and materials.
• Knowledge of procurement systems or ERP tools, and familiarity with contract terms, incoterms, and basic commercial conditions.
• Ability to work on-site in Cairo, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines within a fast-paced project environment.
