Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing, evaluation, and procurement of materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards and timely delivery to support project and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify procurement requirements
- Source and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs and analyze quotations
- Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of bids
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers
- Ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and budget constraints
- Coordinate with engineering, project, and finance teams
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement records
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement procurement strategies
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil or related field) Mandatory
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of technical materials, equipment, and specifications
- Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Good understanding of contract terms and commercial conditions
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
