Procurement Engineer - Mechanical

Job Purpose

• Procure goods and services required by the company or projects while meeting quality standards, staying within budget, and ensuring timely delivery through effective supplier and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the procurement process by evaluating purchase requisitions, preparing and issuing RFQs to approved suppliers, and ensuring technical and commercial requirements are clearly communicated.
• • Communicate with suppliers regarding scope, pricing, and commercial terms; review and compare supplier quotations, and coordinate technical clarifications when required.
• • Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with approved purchase requisitions, ensuring accuracy of specifications, quantities, and commercial details.
• • Follow up with Material Control regarding Material Receiving Vouchers (MRVs) and support efforts to ensure the timely delivery and receipt of materials.
• • Coordinate with Project Management, Cost Control, Finance, and Logistics teams to support alignment of procurement activities with project schedules, delivery timelines, and budget requirements.
• • Assist in identifying and resolving procurement-related discrepancies and support the timely completion of purchasing activities.
• • Follow up on required bank guarantees and support the processing of supplier payments in accordance with approved agreements and commercial terms.
• • Assist with damaged material

Job Requirements :

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in procurement, with a strong background in international sourcing within manufacturing.

• Advanced sourcing and supplier development.
• Contract negotiation and TCO analysis.
• Import/export logistics and customs documentation.
• ERP system expertise and procurement analytics.
• Risk assessment and mitigation in global procurement.
