Job Description
Procurement Engineer / Procurement Officer
We are looking for a Procurement Engineer / Procurement Officer to join our team and manage the procurement process for construction, interior design, and landscaping projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete procurement cycle from material requisition to delivery.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
- Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and suitable quality.
- Prepare RFQs, purchase orders, comparison sheets, and procurement reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, and site teams to understand material and project requirements.
- Ensure materials are procured according to approved specifications, drawings, quantities, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Follow up on orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Coordinate with suppliers and site teams regarding delivery, inspections, and material approvals.
- Maintain proper records of suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, deliveries, and procurement documentation.
- Identify alternative materials and suppliers where required while maintaining quality and project requirements.
- Monitor market prices and develop a reliable supplier network.
- Resolve procurement and delivery issues efficiently to avoid project delays.
- Ensure procurement activities are aligned with company policies and project budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Previous experience in construction, interior fit-out, landscaping, or related industries is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction and finishing materials, suppliers, and market pricing.
- Good negotiation, communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and procurement requirements simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office / Excel and procurement or ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
- UAE/GCC procurement experience is an advantage.
