Euro Mechanical is looking for a Procurement Engineer - Process Solution (Remote).
The Procurement Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end procurement of structural steel materials and fabricated equipment for oil and gas projects, including oil-water separators, heat exchangers, skids, tanks, steel structures, and related mechanical packages. The role covers sourcing, tendering, commercial evaluation, negotiation, purchase order placement, expediting, inspection coordination, and final delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement of structural steel materials, fabricated mechanical equipment, and related accessories in accordance with project requirements.
- Review material requisitions, technical specifications, drawings, datasheets, and bills of materials.
- Develop sourcing strategies and issue RFQs to qualified suppliers, fabricators, and OEMs.
- Evaluate commercial offers, prepare bid comparisons, and issue purchase orders in line with company procedures and Delegation of Authority (DOA).
- Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, warranties, and contractual conditions.
- Coordinate technical and commercial clarifications with Engineering, Projects, Quality, and suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance, manufacturing progress, inspections, testing, documentation, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate logistics, shipping documentation, material inspections, and final delivery to project sites.
- Maintain procurement schedules, identify risks, and implement recovery plans to support project deadlines.
- Support supplier prequalification, performance evaluations, claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
- Prepare procurement progress reports and provide regular project status updates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5–8 years of procurement experience within the oil & gas industry, with a strong background in structural steel fabrication and mechanical equipment procurement.
- Proven experience sourcing structural steel, fabricated equipment, heat exchangers, tanks, skids, and other mechanical packages.
- Experience working with steel stockiest, fabricators, OEMs, and package suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM, ASME, API, AWS, and the latest Incoterms.
- Good understanding of material traceability, fabrication processes, welding requirements, NDT, inspections, and international logistics and shipping documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working on ADNOC or other National Oil Company (NOC) projects is an advantage.
- Professional certification in Supply Chain or Procurement is an added advantage.
