We are seeking a proactive Procurement Executive to manage local purchasing activities and
oversee import operations end-to-end. The role requires strong coordination skills, attention to
detail, and a solid understanding of UAE import regulations to ensure timely and compliant
supply of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day local procurement, including sourcing, issuing purchase orders, and supplier follow-up
- Negotiate with local suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms
- Review and validate all import documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Health
- Certificate, COO) prior to shipment arrival
- Handle product registration and approvals through Dubai Municipality systems (FIRS, Montaji/ZDLM)
- Coordinate with freight forwarders for shipment planning, documentation, and delivery schedules
- Oversee customs clearance through Dubai Customs (Mirsal 2) and ensure timely release of shipments
- Liaise with regulatory authorities (Dubai Municipality, MOCCAE) for permits, inspections, and compliance requirements
- Track shipments end-to-end and proactively resolve operational or documentation issues
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, imports, and supplier performance
Requirements:
- 35 years of experience in procurement and import operations
- Strong knowledge of UAE import procedures and systems (FIRS, Montaji/ZDLM, Mirsal 2)
- Experience in food/meat import is a strong advantage
- Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus)
