Title/Designation: Procurement Manager
Task Description
1. Strategic Procurement
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Manage long-term supplier relationships and establish strategic sourcing agreements.
2. Procurement Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day procurement activities, including requisitions, RFQs, tenders, and purchase orders.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery to meet project and operational needs.
- Manage vendor prequalification and maintain an approved supplier database.
3. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Mitigate supply chain risks through effective contract management and supplier evaluation.
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in procurement.
4. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
- Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide training where necessary.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
5. Financial Management
- Monitor procurement budgets and ensure cost efficiency.
- Approve purchase orders and contracts within authorized limits.
- Provide management with regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in procurement,
