Job Description

Title/Designation: Procurement Manager

Task Description

1. Strategic Procurement

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
  • Manage long-term supplier relationships and establish strategic sourcing agreements.

2. Procurement Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day procurement activities, including requisitions, RFQs, tenders, and purchase orders.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery to meet project and operational needs.
  • Manage vendor prequalification and maintain an approved supplier database.

3. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Mitigate supply chain risks through effective contract management and supplier evaluation.
  • Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in procurement.

4. Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide training where necessary.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

5. Financial Management

  • Monitor procurement budgets and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Approve purchase orders and contracts within authorized limits.
  • Provide management with regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in procurement,
