The Procurement Manager (FitOut) oversees all sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management activities required for interior fitout and refurbishment projects. This role ensures the timely procurement of materials, subcontracted services, and specialist items while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and project timelines. Success in this role requires deep industry knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple fasttrack projects simultaneously.

Areas of Accountability: Main Activities

Develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules and BOQs.

Source materials such as joinery, gypsum, flooring, ceilings, lighting, sanitary ware, furniture, and MEP components.

Coordinate with project managers, QS, design, and engineering teams to understand specifications and lead times.

Identify, prequalify, and onboard suppliers and subcontractors specialising in fit-out works (e.g., joinery, glass, metal, MEP, flooring).

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranties.

Evaluate supplier performance and maintain an updated vendor database.

Issue RFQs, analyse quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and recommend the best value options.

Manage purchase orders, delivery tracking, and logistics coordination.

Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality standards.

Prepare and review subcontract agreements and supply contracts.

Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and HSE requirements.

Maintain accurate procurement documentation for audits and project close-out.

Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Work closely with QS to support budgeting, cost forecasting, and value engineering.

Prevent cost overruns through proactive planning and negotiation.

Coordinate with design, engineering, and site teams to resolve material-related issues.

Support project teams in resolving supplier delays or quality concerns.

Liaise with finance for payment processing and cash flow planning.

Job Requirements

A. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.

B. Minimum Experience:

510 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in the fitout/interiors industry.

C. Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • Deep understanding of fit-out materials, specifications, and installation requirements.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office.
  • Strong contract negotiation and vendor evaluation skills.
