An international contractor require a Procurement Manager to join the team. Working from the Abu Dhabi office managing procurement for an offshore Mechanical Oil & Gas Construction Project. You will be a key player in the commercial team responsible for managing all procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services for the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement process for offshore mechanical oil & gas construction projects.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of quality materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to ensure project requirements are met within scope, time, and budget.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Monitor market trends and evaluate new suppliers, materials, and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on offshore projects.
- Prepare and manage procurement budgets and reports.
- Resolve procurement-related issues and delays promptly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management
- Minimum of 10 years experience in procurement management, preferably in offshore oil & gas construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier negotiation.
- Experience working on large-scale, international projects, particularly in mechanical, oil & gas, or offshore environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural team environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Preference given to those candidates already based in the UAE
