Job Description

A Procurement Manager for Sales and Marketing buys media, advertising, events, and branding services while managing agency and vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

Category Strategy & Development

  • Develop, implement, and optimize category strategies for all marketing items (e.g., creative, media, digital, events, PR, production).
  • Analyze market trends, spend data, and business needs to identify opportunities for cost savings, value creation, and innovation.
  • Experience in Roadshows, Events Etc.
  • Define annual category roadmaps aligned with marketing plans and corporate strategy.

Sourcing & Procurement:

  • Lead the end-to-end procurement process for marketing services including media planning & buying, creative and branding agencies, event management, digital solutions, and promotional materials.
  • Identify qualified suppliers, evaluate proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure competitive pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and approval workflows.
  • Support Marketing in supplier selection, campaign-based purchasing, and project-specific negotiations

Vendor Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and agencies. Ensure vendor performance is monitored through KPIs, service-level agreements (SLAs), and regular performance reviews.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendors.
  • Resolve supplier issues, manage escalations, and ensure delivery to agreed standards.

Contract Management:

  • Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure favorable terms, cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and compliance with internal policies.

Cost Optimization:

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiencies without compromising on service quality or brand objectives

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate closely with internal Sales & Marketing teams to understand requirements, provide procurement guidance, and ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with business goals.

Market Intelligence:

  • Stay abreast of market trends, innovations, and best practices in marketing procurement to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 to 10+ years in strategic sourcing or indirect procurement, with a specific focus on marketing and professional services categories.
