Job Description

Esnad Contracting Company is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manager to lead and manage the company's procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, services, and subcontractors while maintaining the required quality standards. The role is critical in supporting project delivery and achieving the company's operational and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and project requirements.
  • Manage the procurement of construction materials, equipment, machinery, and services for projects and corporate operations.
  • Lead supplier and subcontractor sourcing, prequalification, evaluation, and approval processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors while regularly assessing their performance.
  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and commercial agreements to achieve the best value for the company.
  • Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Planning, and Cost Control teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of required resources.
  • Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
  • Track market trends, material pricing, and supplier developments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage inventory levels in coordination with relevant departments to ensure material availability and minimize waste.
  • Prepare procurement reports, analyses, and recommendations for senior management.
  • Participate in budgeting, procurement planning, and sourcing strategies for current and future projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to improve performance and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in the construction industry, preferably in roads, infrastructure, or building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, supply chain operations, and supplier prequalification.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement management software.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Professional procurement certifications (CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) are an advantage.
