About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities supporting a fleet of Dry Bulk vessels.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchasing operations, supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives while ensuring uninterrupted support to vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all procurement activities related to vessel operations and technical departments.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and service providers globally.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Ensure timely procurement of spare parts, stores, lubricants, technical equipment, and services.
  • Monitor procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
  • Manage tendering and contract negotiation processes.
  • Work closely with Technical, Operations, Finance, and Vessel Management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of maritime/shipping industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of shore-based procurement experience supporting Dry Bulk vessel operations.
  • Previous experience within a Ship Management company is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of marine procurement processes and supplier networks.
  • Proven contract negotiation and vendor management experience.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluent English.
