We are recruiting a Procurement Manager for our client, a UAE-based water and wastewater treatment company with over 15 years of industry presence. The company specializes in EPC, installation, and maintenance of water treatment systems serving industrial, commercial, and municipal sectors.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the complete
procurement and supply chain activities of the company for water treatment projects,
operations, and maintenance requirements. The role involves strategic sourcing, vendor
management, procurement planning, logistics coordination, inventory control, and ensuring
timely availability of materials and equipment while maintaining cost efficiency and
compliance with company standards and international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete procurement cycle for materials, equipment, chemicals, spare parts, and subcontracted services required for water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies by identifying dependable local and international suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and uninterrupted supply.
- Handle supplier negotiations related to pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize commercial value for the organization.
- Work closely with engineering, project execution, operations, and maintenance teams to plan procurement activities in line with project timelines and operational needs.
- Coordinate international procurement and logistics activities, including shipping arrangements, customs clearance, import/export documentation, HS code verification, and coordination with freight forwarders.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to support project execution while minimizing excess stock and procurement costs.
- Monitor purchase orders and proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply chain or logistics issues.
- Ensure all procurement-related documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with company standards and international trade regulations.
- Support budget control initiatives by identifying cost-saving opportunities, supplier optimization, and process improvements.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly based on quality, pricing, delivery efficiency, and overall service standards.
- Lead and mentor the procurement and logistics team to ensure smooth coordination and operational efficiency.
- Identify potential procurement and supply chain risks and implement corrective measures to avoid disruptions to business operations.
- Continuously improve procurement processes, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service delivery.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within the EPC, water treatment, MEP, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong understanding of international sourcing, import/export procedures, customs regulations, and logistics management.
- Proven expertise in supplier management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
