Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Officer specializing in the construction field, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Procurement Officer, will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing construction materials and services in alignment with project needs and budget constraints. Key tasks include issuing and managing purchase orders, negotiating contracts, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The role also involves conducting market research, analyzing vendor proposals, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute procurement activities in line with company policies and project requirements.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Manage the purchasing cycle from request to purchase order issuance, delivery follow-up, and payment coordination.
  • Utilize ERP systems (preferably with strong hands-on experience) to process purchase requests, track orders, update records, and generate reports.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, supplier records, and contracts.
  • Monitor market prices, supplier performance, and material availability to support operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, quality requirements, and procurement procedures.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement, specifically within contracting, construction, or real estate companies.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems with hands-on experience in procurement workflows.
  • Proficiency in purchase order management, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Solid understanding of construction materials, supplies, and industry practices.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to evaluate market trends and vendor performance.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
