Procurement Officer

DG Gulf FZE is currently seeking a Procurement Officer with proven experience in the steel industry and sourcing steel-related materials.

The ideal candidate should have strong supplier networks, negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of procurement processes within steel manufacturing and fabrication environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure steel materials, structural steel components, and fabrication-related supplies

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international steel suppliers

• Manage RFQs, quotations, supplier comparisons, and purchase orders

• Coordinate closely with engineering, production, and project teams to understand material requirements

• Monitor material delivery timelines to ensure production schedules are met

• Maintain supplier records, procurement documentation, and cost tracking

• Assist in cost optimization, supplier evaluation, and vendor performance monitoring

Requirements

• Proven procurement experience in the steel or metal manufacturing industry

• Good knowledge of steel materials, fabrication inputs, and structural steel components

• Experience coordinating logistics, shipping, and supplier delivery schedules

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

• Ability to work in coordination with engineering, production, and project teams
