Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Officer-Heavy Vehicles Spare Parts

Role Summary:

The Procurement Officer will manage procurement activities for project materials and heavy vehicles, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with technical requirements. The role includes supplier management, contract negotiation, and logistics coordination, with a strong focus on spare parts and consumables for heavy vehicles used in oilfield operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Planning & Execution
  • Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with project timelines.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project materials and heavy vehicle parts for operational continuity.
  1. Supplier Management
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers; maintain an updated vendor database.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to ensure quality and contractual compliance.
  1. Tendering & Vendor Selection
  • Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs.
  • Analyse and compare bids based on technical compliance, cost-effectiveness, and delivery reliability.
  1. Coordination with Internal Teams
  • Work closely with engineering, QA/QC, and project teams to ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications and project milestones.
  1. Negotiation & Contract Management
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms to achieve cost savings while ensuring high-quality standards.
  1. Order & Logistics Management
  • Oversee purchase orders, vendor documentation, and logistics.
  • Expedite deliveries for heavy vehicles, spare parts, tyres, batteries, and lubricants.
  1. Heavy Vehicle Procurement & Maintenance Support
  • Procure spare parts and consumables specifically for heavy vehicles used in oilfield operations (e.g., trucks, trailers, loaders).
  • Manage returns, warranty claims, and damaged parts coordination with suppliers.
  • Maintain a network of specialized vendors for heavy-duty automotive components.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo).
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with heavy vehicle spare parts, tyres, batteries, and lubricants.
  • Strong vendor network for heavy vehicle and project material procurement.
  • Good negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills.
