Job Description

Purpose & Scope

Support Group Procurement function across DAS Group companies by ensuring that all materials and goods are sourced and purchased at the best quality, price, and value, and in line with company policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete procurement lifecycle from inception to delivery and closure, for all procurement requirements in general contracting and construction projects (design, fit-out, civil & MEP works, landscaping, facility maintenance, equipment and manpower hire, etc.).
  • Develop and implement project-specific procurement plans.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including internal departments (e.g., Engineering, Projects team, Procurement, Operations, Finance, etc.) and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, subcontractors, consultants, etc.).
  • Review incoming Purchase Requisitions and ensure completeness of required information.
  • Manage vendor bidding process including preparation of RFQs and bid documents to obtain proposals from various bidders.
  • Prepare comparative analysis reports and award recommendations.
  • Negotiate and conclude commercial terms (payments, delivery, terms & conditions, etc.) with various types of vendors and services (e.g., supply of materials, works, services).
  • Process Purchase Orders and Agreements in coordination with Procurement Officers and Contracts Engineers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services through forward planning, knowledge of lead times, market conditions, and by expediting materials delivery and execution.
  • Maintain status reports for Purchase Requisitions, RFQs, POs, and delivery trackers.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and resolve arising disputes concerning quality, price, or delivery problems.
  • Manage long-term Supply Agreements and high-value Purchase Orders.
  • Verify vendors payment applications against POs / Agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy and obtain the required internal approvals.
  • Support in various tasks relating to procurement, commercial, risk management, disputes, and other tasks as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 8+ years of experience in a relevant role in general contracting / construction projects (design, fit-out, civil & MEP works, landscaping, facility maintenance, etc.), preferably in a large-size organization.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. A master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage various projects, prioritize among multiple demands, and work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Working experience with Microsoft D365 / Oracle or similar major ERP system.
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
