Job Description

Summary

Experienced Procurement Officer with a solid background in the construction industry, specializing in procurement operations, supplier management, and subcontractor coordination. Skilled in managing RFQs, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely material delivery, and supporting project requirements while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in procurement planning and reporting.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage the RFQ process and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Conduct commercial and technical analysis of procurement offers.
  • Coordinate with project teams regarding materials, quantities, and delivery schedules.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers.
  • Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and services in line with project schedules.
  • Prepare purchase requests, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
  • Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and filing systems.
  • Monitor inventory levels and material requirements for ongoing projects.
  • Follow up on deliveries and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Prepare procurement reports and provide regular updates to management.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues, including delays, shortages, and supplier concerns.
  • Assist in contract and subcontract administration activities.
  • Support site teams with procurement and logistics requirements.
  • Track procurement activities to ensure deadlines and project requirements are achieved.
  • Participate in supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
  • Maintain effective communication with vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures, policies, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within the Construction industry.
  • Experience working on Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, or Civil Construction projects is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier management, and subcontract coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
