Gulf Center United Industrial Equipment Co. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement & Planning Engineer to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process and developing detailed execution plans for projects involving the fabrication, supply, and delivery of structural steel, piping, tanks, and process equipment. This role includes sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, managing logistics (both local and international), and ensuring timely and efficient delivery aligned with project requirements and client expectations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement, planning, or technical office roles within the industrial or fabrication sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Good understanding of INCOTERMS and international trade regulations.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes for structural steel, piping, tanks, and process equipment.
- Familiarity with local and international suppliers and logistics providers.
- Strong coordination and communication skills to interact with engineering, logistics, QC, and vendors.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.
