GT Medical is hiring a Procurement Specialist to manage the full procurement cycle for local and international purchases in Saudi Arabia, ensuring the timely sourcing of medical devices and pharmaceuticals while maintaining accurate supplier records, meeting service levels, and optimizing costs through effective vendor and contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase requisitions into purchase orders for both local and international trade
- Ensure timely delivery of goods in accordance with service level agreements
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
- Monitor order status from placement to goods receipt note (GRN) confirmation
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date approved supplier database
- Evaluate and onboard new vendors, and conduct quarterly supplier performance reviews
- Resolve supplier issues, dispute, and handle non-supplied or damaged orders
- Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and finalize purchase contracts
- Review and approve supplier quotations
- Monitor budget vs. actual spend and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Generate procurement and performance reports, track KPIs monthly
- Collect purchase orders and requisitions, review deliveries, and manage inventory
- Liaise with clearance teams for shipment clearance and maintain shipping records
- Expedite shipments and review all required shipping documents
- Manage procurement activities including RFPs (Request for Proposals)
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine reasonable prices
- Develop and monitor cost-reduction strategies
- Perform other duties and take on responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or PMP are preferred
Requirements:
- Minimum 35 years of experience in a procurement role
- Proven experience working with both local and international suppliers
- Experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
