Description: Procurement Specialist

Role Overview: The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the purchasing of materials and services needed to achieve the company's or organization's goals. The job typically includes the following tasks:

  1. Identifying Purchase Needs:
  • Determine the required materials and services in coordination with various departments.
  • Prepare a list of purchase needs based on forecasts and demand.
  1. Researching and Comparing Suppliers:
  • Research potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
  • Compare prices, quality, and delivery terms offered by different suppliers.
  1. Negotiating Contracts and Agreements:
  • Negotiate pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Prepare contracts and agreements ensuring they align with company requirements.
  1. Managing Orders:
  • Place purchase orders and confirm receipt with suppliers.
  • Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery.
  1. Quality and Delivery Oversight:
  • Verify the quality of received materials and services to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Address any issues that arise during the delivery process.
  1. Inventory Management:
  • Track inventory levels to ensure materials are available without overstocking.
  • Collaborate with the inventory department to manage storage and distribution processes.
  1. Reporting:
  • Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities and costs.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for improving procurement processes.
  1. Compliance with Policies and Procedures:
  • Adhere to internal purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  1. Building Supplier Relationships:
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continued cooperation and quality service.
  • Handle any issues or complaints that may arise with suppliers.
  1. Process Improvement:
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes.
  • Implement best practices to reduce costs and improve performance.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Specialist located in Riyadh. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for tasks such as generating purchase orders, evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, utilizing analytical skills, and managing overall procurement processes.

Qualifications

  • Purchase Orders, Supplier Evaluation, and Contract Negotiation skills
  • Analytical Skills and Procurement expertise
  • Experience in contract negotiation and supplier management
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is a plus
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering , construction management, or certification as a Procurement Specialist
