Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist | Qatari to support the procurement function by managing sourcing activities, vendor relationships, and purchasing processes. The successful candidate will ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and procurement best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract administration.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations, proposals, and bids to ensure value for money and quality service delivery.
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies and category management initiatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure effective vendor performance management.
  • Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor contract compliance and supplier performance against agreed service levels.
  • Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving and value-enhancing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and procurement needs.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
  • Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and performance metrics for management review.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CIPS or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contract management, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement practices, tendering processes, and supplier management.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
