Job Description

Job Summary:

The Procurement Specialist supports daily purchasing activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of goods and services for pharmaceutical operations. The role is responsible for handling purchase requisitions, obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations, negotiating commercial terms, issuing purchase orders, and following up on deliveries while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review purchase requisitions and obtain suitable supplier quotations.
  • Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, incoterms, and payment terms with suppliers.
  • Convert approved requisitions into purchase orders and monitor the PO cycle until delivery completion.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of required shipping and quality documents (Invoice, Packing List, COA, Certificate of Origin).
  • Verify that sourced materials and products meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Business Development, R&D, Planning, Quality, and Finance to support operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical procurement or related operations.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and machinery spare parts is preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
