We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team in Dubai. The role plays a critical part in supporting day-to-day plant operations, vendor management, prequalification processes and Contractor Safety Management (CSM), while ensuring full compliance with procurement, health & safety and company policies.
This position is ideal for someone with strong procurement knowledge, hands-on SAP experience, and a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Operations
- Support day-to-day procurement activities for plant operations
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the procurement lifecycle and related MCS
- Obtain and evaluate a multiple quotations, ensuring best price and quality
- Create and release Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP for local and GCC suppliers
- Handle GRPO processing and coordinate invoice submission with Finance
- Track pending or missing invoices and follow up on vendor payments
- Order hired equipment as instructed by management
- Maintain accurate stores and procurement records
- Lead vendor prequalification and requalification processes for goods and services
- Support the department in achieving CSM targets and deadlines
- Coordinate with the Admin team while ensuring strict adherence to procurement policies
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the procurement leadership
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Act as a role model in promoting a strong Health & Safety culture across all procurement-related activities
- Ensure compliance with Group H&S policies, rules and regulations on-site, and on the road
- Promote safety awareness through safety meetings, talks, and initiatives
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to standard operating procedures
- Prepare risk assessments, permits, and LOTOTO prior to task execution
- Conduct regular inspection of tools in line with RMG requirements
- Achieve monthly safety targets
- Maintain zero personal involvement in accidents and comply with working hour limits
Key Requirements
- Emirati- Mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within industrial, plant, or construction environments
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (PO, GRPO, vendor coordination)
- Familiarity with Health & Safety standards and Contractor Safety Management (CSM)
- Excellent coordination, documentation, and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
