Job Purpose:
- To be an integral part of the procurement department to support with the day-to-day activities of the plant operations
- Support the team with all Prequalification related activities along with vendor registration
- Support the team with all Contractor Safety management topics and activities (CSM)
Job Responsibilities:
Health and Safety:
- Sets personal examples and acts as role model to ensure a solid Health & Safety culture and implementation of Group standards and policies.
- Create Health & Safety awareness by promoting safety meetings and talks, and by encouraging Health & Safety initiatives.
- Leads by example and ensures a safe working environment for his/her subordinates
- Required to submit Near miss & VPC reports in iCare
- Ensure the use of personal protective equipment on/off site and following standard operating procedure for all relevant operations
- Zero personal involvement in accidents
- Commit to and achieve policy rules on limits of working hours by employees
- Compliance with H&S Policies, Rules and Regulations on site and on the road.
- Prepare risk assessment/permits/LOTOTO before starting any tasks
- Inspect all the tools regularly as required by the RMG
- Target of 4 BOG, 2 VPC and 2 hazard to report every month.
- Support the department in achieving CSM targets and deadlines
Environmental Management
- Awareness and adherence to statutory regulations and decrees.

- Indicates a non-compliance or environmental incident to N+1
Quality Assurance
- Foster a positive attitude to supporting any quality program pursued by RMG
- Represent RMG in a professional manner when liaising with external sources
Procurement
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives and operational requirements.
- Lead sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management activities to achieve cost optimization, quality assurance, and supply continuity.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement operations, including vendor evaluation, tendering, contract management, and purchase order approvals.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure reliable and timely supply of materials and services.
- Drive annual and monthly cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and value engineering.
- Monitor procurement budgets, spending trends, and key performance indicators through detailed reporting and Power BI dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, MCS requirements, and internal control procedures.
- Lead vendor prequalification, performance evaluation, and development programs for goods and service providers.
- Oversee procurement activities through SAP, including PO approvals, GRPO coordination, invoice verification, and payment follow-ups with Finance and suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and Projects to support business continuity and project execution.
- Identify procurement risks, market trends, and supply chain challenges, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Mentor and supervise procurement team members, ensuring process efficiency, accountability, and continuous professional development.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, spend analysis, and management summaries to senior leadership on a periodic basis.
Interaction
- Maintain a proactive approach towards interaction between in-house Departments.
- Constructively contribute to Workshop Foreman and Maintenance Manager on planning and meetings.
- Proactively initiate/lead/become involved in initiatives to improve organizational performance
Internal Controls
- Follows the Code of Business Conduct process as prescribed by the Company
- Follow Procurement related MCS standards at all times

- Is aware of competition law and adapts his/her behavior by knowing it

General
As required, conduct other duties requested by the Procurement supervisor or Head of Procurement
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Preferably a professional qualification as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) ;
Experience
- Posses at least 5 years of hands-on experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience in a supervisory, team-lead, or senior buyer role.
Technical & Hard Skills
- Contract Management: Ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex vendor agreements.
- System Proficiency: Strong command of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, ), e-procurement software, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Financial Acumen: Capability to analyze market trends, track spending, and oversee departmental budgets.
Soft Skills
- Negotiation & Influence: Strong ability to secure favorable terms, handle disputes, and manage strategic supplier relationships.
- Leadership: Ability to train, coach, and guide a team of purchasing professionals.
- Organization: Capability to juggle multiple procurement projects, review purchase orders, and meet tight deadlines.
