Responsibilities
Procurement and Planning
- Follow up on purchase requisitions received from various departments.
- Conduct market research to identify suitable suppliers, products, and services aligned with organizational requirements.
- Streamline purchase processes to ensure smooth and timely order flow.
- Process purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Maintain an updated register of approved suppliers, products, and contracts.
- Ensure best value for money while maintaining quality, reliability, and timeliness of delivery.
- Manage and administer contracts to ensure compliance and satisfactory performance from all parties.
- Maintain an auditable trail for all procurement-related decisions and activities.
- Provide weekly and monthly procurement reports as required by the department manager.
Policy and Compliance
- Ensure procurement of goods and services is made only through approved channels.
- Enforce compliance with established procurement systems, procedures, and policies.
- Provide guidance to staff on products, processes, and procurement-related procedures as required.
- Ensure all procurement processes comply with legal requirements, ethical standards, and company policies.
Supplier Management
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure performance, reliability, and contractual compliance.
- Monitor supplier KPIs and maintain regular performance reporting.
- Proactively manage back orders and expedite deliveries as needed.
- Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate terms, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Team Supervision & Continuous Improvement
- Supervise and support procurement staff to ensure effective operations.
- Train staff and monitor KPIs aligned with strategic objectives.
- Support the Supply Chain Manager in implementing best-practice procurement systems and workflows.
- Assist in streamlining processes to reduce duplication and enhance operational efficiency.
- Contribute to annual procurement improvement plans aligned with organizational goals.
Procurement & Supply Chain Coordination
- Implement procurement systems, processes, and communication strategies to ensure organizational compliance.
- Support the development and execution of effective procurement and supply chain practices.
- Facilitate collaboration across departments on procurement-related initiatives.
- Advise internal departments on procurement matters and ensure adherence to standards.
- Lead procurement-related change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new processes.
Budget & Reporting
- Monitor procurement budgets, track costs, and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and supplier performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract administration.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and procurement software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team effectively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP procurement modules (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning in procurement.
- Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations and best practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Package: AED 25,000 Negotiable
