Join a leading banking transformation program supporting the redesign of a next-generation Corporate Banking Mobile and Web Platform for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This initiative focuses on creating modern, intuitive, and customer-centric digital experiences that simplify business banking while meeting enterprise-grade security, usability, and regulatory standards.
We are looking for experienced Product Designers (UX/UI) to embed within agile product squads and lead the end-to-end design of digital banking experiences across mobile and web platforms. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Business Analysts, and other cross-functional stakeholders to transform complex banking workflows into seamless, user-friendly experiences that drive customer satisfaction and business value.
This role is ideal for a senior product designer with strong banking or financial services experience, excellent UX research and interaction design skills, and a passion for designing scalable digital products used by thousands of business customers.
This is a 9-month contract / freelance engagement with an immediate start, based onsite in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, user-centered experiences for corporate banking mobile and web applications serving SME customers.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Business Analysts, and other designers within agile squads throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Translate complex business and banking requirements into elegant user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and design validation sessions to ensure solutions meet customer needs.
- Create and maintain user flows, information architecture, interaction models, and design specifications.
- Develop interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and validate user experiences before development.
- Ensure consistency across products by contributing to and utilizing enterprise design systems and UI component libraries.
- Work closely with development teams during implementation to ensure design quality and usability standards are maintained.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, design reviews, and retrospectives.
- Continuously improve digital banking experiences by analyzing user feedback, product analytics, and business performance metrics.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of professional experience in Product Design, UX Design, or UI Design.
- Proven experience designing digital products within the banking, financial services, or fintech industry.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design across mobile and responsive web applications.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale digital banking products, customer portals, or financial platforms.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, information architecture, and usability best practices.
- Hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar prototyping platforms.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, journey mapping, persona creation, and design thinking workshops.
- Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards, responsive design, and component-based design methodologies.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum product teams alongside Product Managers and Engineering teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to balance business objectives, technical constraints, regulatory considerations, and customer experience.
Preferred Experience
- Experience designing Corporate Banking, Business Banking, SME Banking, or Commercial Banking digital products.
- Experience redesigning existing digital platforms or leading large-scale UX modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of banking workflows including payments, accounts, onboarding, approvals, trade finance, treasury, or cash management.
- Experience working within highly regulated financial institutions.
- Familiarity with data-driven product design, A/B testing, and product analytics.
- Experience contributing to enterprise design systems and design governance.
