Job Description

About the Job:

As the Product Localization Lead, you will spearhead technical localization activities, ensuring seamless integration of local parts into production while adhering to standards. You will lead cross-functional teams, solve complex engineering challenges, and drive innovation to enhance product quality and cost efficiency. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining technical integrity, compliance, and safety throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

Technical Localization & Production Support

  • Develop and deliver technical packages, ADV plans, and ensure timely approval of local parts in alignment with MMM localization processes.
  • Participate in technical reviews with suppliers during local part development.
  • Lead and approve reverse engineering activities for supplier know‑how parts and contribute to supplier capability assessments before nomination.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to release technical packages, review and approve ADVRs, and finalize the release of local parts for production.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Production, and Suppliers to ensure engineering designs align with operational requirements.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Resolve complex warranty and plant defects using advanced methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, RedX).
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives, product improvements, and support prototype and production builds for new programs.
  • Support the development of complex repair methods for production vehicles and provide technical consultancy to mitigate value‑chain disruptions.
  • Ensure integrity and compliance with technical and quality standards throughout the vehicle lifecycle and conduct Technical Risk Assessments for all product safety investigations.

Innovation & Technology Application

  • Leverage existing and emerging technologies to enhance design, manufacturing, and engineering processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Automotive or Production Engineering, with strong familiarity with vehicle subsystems and components.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in product development.
  • Knowledge of or certification in Six Sigma or other problem‑solving methodologies is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (Inventor, Solid Edge, CATIA).
  • Strong understanding of design concepts, manufacturing technologies, and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Arabic.
