Volkswagen Group Middle East is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Product Manager - Light Commercial Vehicle to lead product positioning, pricing, and lifecycle management for the Volkswagen brand across the region. This role plays a critical part in shaping competitive, profitable, and market-relevant vehicle offerings by combining market insight, data-driven decision making, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will act as a key interface between dealers, internal teams, and headquarters, ensuring that regional market needs are effectively reflected in product development, pricing strategies, and long-term planning.
Main Goals & Objectives
- Analyse market segments and competitor activity to position the most suitable products in terms of specifications, pricing, and profitability.
- Collaborate closely with dealers, internal stakeholders, and headquarters to ensure effective product implementation and lifecycle management.
- Act as a liaison between regional markets and the headquarters product development team to incorporate market-specific requirements into product and strategic planning.
- Take ownership of vehicle pricing decisions, directly impacting profitability while aligning pricing strategies with market dynamics and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define pricing and specifications for new models across the AGCC & Near East regions.
- Plan volumes for the full lifecycle of current and future models.
- Create and maintain sales programs, product information, and retail price calculations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries and presentations to internal teams (RSMs, training, marketing, PR) and external stakeholders (dealers, press, agencies).
- Manage the lifecycle of current models, including model year changes, price protection, optional equipment optimization, and special editions, in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and monitor pricing quality within internal systems in collaboration with Controlling and Distribution/Planning teams.
- Create, maintain, and expand pricing indices for all models under management, including dashboard and report development within MEAC Qlik.
- Support headquarters with IMF planning for assigned models.
- Drive the rollout of VW Connect across all markets and models.
- Develop and implement a data strategy to access vehicle-related data (PR codes, take rates, model mix) in real time via Qlik dashboards linked to systems such as NADIV.
- Expand pricing indices to additional markets (including KSA) using tools such as JATO and continuously enhance reporting quality and insights.
Key Competencies & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in product management, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Strong experience with pricing, volume planning, and lifecycle management.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong data management capabilities, including Qlik.
- High affinity for numbers, systems, and analytical thinking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to prioritize independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, structure, and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Proven ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); German is a strong advantage.
