Purpose of the job:
Drive the development of innovative mobility batteries and energy solutions at BrightEV by identifying market trends, customer requirements, and product opportunities, and translating them into clear, prioritized product requirements for the engineering and product teams. This role acts as the key link between customers, market needs, and internal technical teams, ensuring that BrightEV's products deliver real customer value, meet industry standards, and support the company's growth strategy
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
Own and define product requirements based on customer needs, market research, and industry trends within the EV, battery, and energy ecosystem.
Conduct continuous market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and customer interviews to identify gaps and opportunities.
Develop and maintain the product roadmap aligned with BrightEV's business and commercial strategy.
Translate business and customer needs into clear user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria. Prioritize and manage the product backlog to maximize customer value and time-to-market.
Collaborate closely with engineering, systems, firmware, hardware, and design teams.
Ensure clear documentation of requirements using Jira.
Support go-to-market activities by collaborating with sales and business development teams.
Gather post-launch feedback and continuously improve existing products.
Stay up to date with EV regulations, safety standards, and emerging technologies.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field. (Master's is a plus).
Required Experience:
4+ years of proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, or similar role, preferably in EV, battery, or energy-related industries
Demonstrated experience in backlog management and product roadmap development
Experience translating customer insights into technical requirements
Background in stakeholder management across cross-functional teams
Familiarity with electric vehicles, battery systems, or energy storage solutions is highly preferred
Knowledge of automotive, Electrical vehicles, or micromobility standards and certifications is a strong plus.
