Job Description: Product Owner (Software Industry)

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Product Owner to join our agile software development team. You will be the key stakeholder in defining product vision, prioritizing the product backlog, and ensuring the development team delivers high-value features that meet customer needs and business objectives.
The first month will be conducted on-site in Alexandria to facilitate team bonding, process alignment, and deep product immersion. After that, you will transition to a remote-first work model with occasional team gatherings.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy.
- Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with business goals.
- User Story Definition: Write clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Sprint Planning: Actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, customers, and the development team.
- Market & User Research: Conduct ongoing research to understand user needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Metrics & KPIs: Define and track key product metrics to measure success and inform future iterations.
- Release Management: Coordinate product releases and ensure smooth deployment and user adoption.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3+ years as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a software/tech environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Certification: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar is a plus.
- Technical Understanding: Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and SaaS models.
- Tools: Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, Figma, or similar.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making ability.
- Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Alexandria for the first month.
