Job Description

Role Description:

The Product Owner is responsible for defining user stories and prioritising the team backlog. This role serves as the customer proxy, responsible for working with the product management and other stakeholders, including other product owners, to define and deliver the product vision

Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
5-7 years of experience in similar position & responsibility
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Proven experience in product development in an Agile environment
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal
Strong business acumen and customer-centric focus

Specific Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of the product's market and the customer's needs
Familiarity with product management software like JRA or Asana

Individual Skills:

Ability to make decisions under pressure
Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills

Mindset and Behaviors:

Strategic thinker with a clear vision and an innovative mindset
Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement

Responsibilities:

Defining the product backlog and creating actionable user stories for the development teams
Grooming and prioritising backlog items based on user value, market changes, and business priorities
Serving as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, communicating customer needs and translating them into development tasks
