The Role Product Owner
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Product Owner with a strong background in fintech and digital product delivery. As a key member of the cross-functional team, you will own the product backlog, define user-centric features, and ensure end-to-end alignment between business goals and technical execution. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and excellent communication skills to drive impactful product development within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- 35 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally within fintech, digital banking, neobanking, payments, or financial platforms.
- Bachelors degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering. An MBA or certification in Product Management (CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, Pragmatic, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong experience in creating epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation based on stakeholder input and customer insights.
- Proven ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term strategy, adapting product direction based on changing market or user needs.
- Comfortable working alongside cross-functional technical teams including developers, architects, QA, and DevOps to clarify requirements, resolve blockers, and manage dependencies.
- Knowledge of API design principles, integration flows, system-to-system communication, and data mapping in fintech applications.
- Experience driving UX/UI design collaboration, user journey mapping, wireframe validation, and usability testing; familiarity with tools like Figma.
- Proficiency in Agile tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and roadmap tools
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing across business, compliance, and technology teams.
- Analytical mindset with strong capability in problem-solving, backlog prioritization, and value-based delivery planning.
- Familiarity with fintech ecosystems
- Understanding of GCC fintech regulatory frameworks (especially UAE Central Bank, ADGM, or DIFC guidelines) is a strong advantage.
- Experience working with third-party vendors, payment gateways, or Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platforms is a plus.
- Passion for emerging technologies (Open Banking, Blockchain, CBDC, etc.) and an eagerness to drive innovation.
