Responsibilities
- Production Scheduling: Develop and execute weekly and monthly production schedules based on sales orders and plant capacity.
- Material Management: Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse departments to ensure the timely availability of raw materials (wood, hardware, and finishing materials) without surplus or deficit.
- Production Monitoring: Monitor the various manufacturing stages (cutting, assembly, painting, upholstery) to ensure strict adherence to deadlines.
- Efficiency Optimization: Analyze production bottlenecks and implement immediate solutions to minimize downtime and material waste (especially wood yield optimization).
- Reporting: Prepare and present periodic reports to upper management regarding progress rates, machine efficiency, and any deviations from the plan.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial/Production) or Business Administration (or a related field).
Experience: Minimum of [3 - 5] years of experience in production planning. Prior experience in furniture and woodwork manufacturing is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes and wood types.
- High proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Odoo).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the capacity to work under pressure and coordinate effectively between various departments (Sales, Procurement, and Production).
