Key Scope:
- Own and execute the technical roadmap for digital asset platforms
- Architect and build secure, scalable infrastructure across custody and transaction layers
- Lead engineering efforts across blockchain integrations, settlement systems, and platform services
- Ensure institutional-grade security (HSM, MPC, multi-sig, SOC2 standards)
- Partner closely with Product, Risk, and Compliance teams
- Integrate external providers (nodes, oracles, market data, monitoring tools)
- Define and optimise platform performance metrics (uptime, latency, throughput)
- Stay ahead of DeFi, blockchain protocols, and custody innovations
The ideal candidate should be/have:
- 8+ years in software / platform engineering, with 4+ years in blockchain or digital assets
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Custody infrastructure (HSM, MPC, key management)
- Smart contracts (Solidity, Rust, or similar)
- Blockchain protocols & digital asset ecosystems
- Experience building financial platforms (payments, settlement, asset systems)
- Strong cloud expertise: AWS / Azure, Kubernetes, microservices, CI/CD
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, build-from-zero environment
- Prior work at a licensed exchange, custodian, or digital bank
- Experience with core banking system integrations for fiat settlement
- Contributions to open-source blockchain or DeFi projects
- Familiarity with real-world asset (RWA) tokenisation standards
- Able to liaise with China counterparts to collaborate with cross-border engineering teams
