Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee all shipyard production operations at our facility in Ras Al Khaimah. The successful candidate will lead production teams, manage resources, and ensure vessels are built and repaired to the highest quality standards on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and control all production activities across the shipyard
- Manage and lead production teams including supervisors, tradesmen, and labourers
- Develop production schedules and monitor progress against milestones
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients on production matters
- Manage material procurement and resource allocation
- Monitor quality control throughout the production process
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Prepare production reports and present to senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Shipbuilding, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in shipyard or marine production management
- Strong knowledge of shipbuilding processes, methods, and materials
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Experience with production planning tools and ERP systems
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of HSSE regulations in a marine/shipyard environment
- UAE experience preferred
