Job Overview:

Medad Printing and Publishing is seeking a proactive and experienced Production Planner with a strong background in offset printing and packaging. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination across all printing operations, while maintaining high standards of quality, cost-efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules specific to offset printing operations.
  • Coordinate workflow from job initiation to final delivery, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Evaluate and allocate resources (materials, machines, manpower) to optimize production output.
  • Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust plans to resolve issues proactively.
  • Liaise with internal departments (sales, operations, procurement, QC) to align planning with business priorities.
  • Communicate clearly with clients when necessary regarding timelines, feasibility, and progress updates.
  • Analyze material usage, press capacity, and manpower efficiency to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Review job orders, print specifications, and production requirements to prepare accurate cost and time estimates.
  • Balance and manage pressures from sales teams while maintaining production integrity.
  • Collaborate with operations to find practical solutions to challengesfocusing on results over excuses.

Education Qualification and Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Printing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with planning software or ERP systems used in print production.
  • Understanding of prepress, press, and post press workflows.
  • 56 years of hands-on planning experience in an offset printing environment (non-negotiable).
  • In-depth knowledge of printing processes, materials, and production calculations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities; capable of interacting with both internal teams and clients.
  • Confident in pushing back or challenging decisions constructively based on logic and data.
  • Resilient under pressure and committed to meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
