Job Purpose
To ensure that a good quality cable is produced within specified and that the production machines are operating correctly with competent operations also to maintain best practices.
responsible for the Safety, Output, Quality, Efficiency, and Housekeeping in the area of production. In addition, responsible for the management of all production technicians and operatives within the designated area.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure production discipline 24/7 three shifts.
- Comply with Standard Operating Procedures set by the Company Management & convey to direct reports.
- Achieving the objective of production plan on target time and required quality level.
- Supervise operators, engineers and technicians in designated work area to meet daily production, quality and delivery targets
- Arranging materials/tools, Prepare and design any tools needed for cable operations for different stages.
- Maximum productivity Works with production team within a defined production schedule and production target to achieve and efficiency from process and scrap reduction.
- Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees in designated area
- Enforce all processing and housekeeping procedures/regulators
- Enable effective communications between management and operators
- Make regular updates and daily, weekly and monthly reports on quality, production, material consumption & delivery targets against deadlines, to the Production Manager
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol
- Liaise with shift maintenance, QC; shift production reports etc.
- Issue a report on any accidents or near misses to Production Manager
- Suggest and implement process improvement ideas, company rules, policies and procedures
- Hold morning meeting and regular one to one meetings with direct reports.
- Carry out annual performance appraisals and implement performance improvement plans if required.
Qualification & Education:
Education: B.Sc. of Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
Years of Experience: 7-15 years
Language: Arabic & English
Computer skills: Microsoft office
