Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Sharjah for a Production Manager specializing in Aerospace/UAV. The Production Supervisor will oversee daily manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and quality control. Key responsibilities involve coordinating with cross-functional teams, optimizing manufacturing workflows, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and managing resources effectively to meet production goals.
Responsibilities
Production Management
- Supervise daily composite production activities including layup, vacuum bagging, curing (autoclave/oven), trimming, and assembly.
- Ensure production schedules are met in line with delivery commitments.
- Monitor workflow, manpower allocation, and machine utilization to maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with planning and engineering teams for smooth production execution.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and supervise composite technicians and operators.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide continuous coaching.
- Ensure workforce discipline, attendance, and adherence to company procedures.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and internal quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001 / AS9100).
- Oversee implementation of:
1.FAI (First Article Inspection)
2.PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
3.MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
- Ensure traceability of materials and production processes.
- Support internal and external audits.
Process Optimization
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and improve work instructions and SOPs.
- Collaborate with engineering on process validation and improvements.
- Support introduction of new products and technologies.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and safe handling of composite materials and chemicals.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Enforce PPE usage and safe work practices.
Technical Oversight
- Supervise processes including:
- layups techniques
- Core bonding (honeycomb, foam)
- Autoclave and oven curing cycles
- Composite repair techniques
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily/weekly production reports.
- Track KPIs: productivity, scrap rate, rework, on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance departments.
