Production Team Leader - Brewing - Sharkeya Plant

Job Purpose

Leads and oversees the efforts of the production team and ensures that projects are carried out in adherence with the department's key performance indicators as well as local and international (Heineken) standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensures that the production activities are running smoothly by coordinating with the plant management team.
2. Ensures that required safety standards are implemented.
3. Reports any critical incidents to the management team and communicates them with production team members for future enhancements.
4. Trains contractors on safety standards and runs audits for compliance.
5. Manages quality deviations and meets Al Ahram Beverages Company's targets and Heineken standards.
6. Leads the Daily Control System (DCS) to review previous data on quality and resource consumption.
7. Motivates the production staff to come up with new ideas.
8. Evaluates targets and ensures that staff are aligned with the planned targets.
9. Drives and ensures the right implementation of the Shop Floor Excellence standards and methods in the production department.
10. Executes the production plan by ensuring the availability of the required products on-time with the right quality standards and the optimal costs.
11. Performs risk assessments to reduce hazards.
12. Coaches and trains the production staff based on identified skill gaps and areas of improvements.

Education & Experiences

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Science or Chemical or Production Engineering

Years of Experience

2 -4 years of experience in production process in FMCG companies

Qualifications & Other Requirements

Excellent command of English Language

Skills in Microsoft (Excel & PowerPoint)

TPM Knowledge

HACCP/ISO Principles and systems

Translate the E2E opco/Brewery vision and strategy into department strategy, objectives, priorities and targets, and build ownership and commitment during implementation.

Management of process, performance & excellence in execution

Manage the Brewing & Cider process and achieve execution of the plan by ensuring optimal engagement of people and overseeing the interfaces with other production processes.

Data Management & Digitalization

Implement the organization's digital roadmap, in compliance with the global requirements of building a digital capability.
