The College of Education at Qatar University was established in 1973 it is the first higher education institution in Qatar, and the only institution responsible for teachers and educators preparation to this day. The College of Education continues to adhere to its educational principles and its insightful vision that aim at graduating individuals who contribute to the country's development, progress and prosperity.Through the academic, research, training and consultant distinctive programs it offers, the College of Education seeks to prepare educational leaders with the knowledge, skills and positive attitudes that enable them to be innovative and responsive to the needs of the Qatari community. Furthermore, the College of Education opts to raise the level of teaching through the effective partnerships with various community institutions and stakeholders. The language of instruction in the College of Education is Arabic language, except for the courses that require otherwise.
The College of Education obtained the academic recognition for its programs through the International Foundation for the Accreditation of Teacher Programs (IRTE), which approved the college's programs over the years 2010 - 2012. After that, the college obtained the academic accreditation from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Programs (NCATE) in 2016 to 2023.

1.Conducting needs assessment for employees in educational institutions.
2.Designing strategic plans and operational plans, periodic follow-up of operational performance indicators, and initiating necessary proposals to improve work outcomes.
3.Designing professional development plans based on the specific needs of the educational institution's professional development plan.
4.Designing and implementing training programs aimed at enhancing educational leadership skills impacting school performance.
5.Guiding teachers, administrators, and principals to help them achieve their professional and personal growth goals.
6.Follow up and evaluate the performance and skills acquired during training programs and provide feedback to employees/educators in the educational institution.
7.Contribute to building professional learning communities in educational institutions.
8.Participating in conferences, forums, and special events at Qatar University.
9.Writing reports on the educational programs provided.
10.Collecting and analyzing data related to professional development activities and extracting recommendations from them.
11.Participating in the center committees.
12.Keeping abreast of recent developments in the educational field and applying them in the work environment.
13.Participating in educational research at the university.
14.Performing other tasks and duties that may be occasionally required in order to meet the requirements of the role and the aims of the University.
