Job title: Professor / Associate Professor of Applied Sociology.

Qualification: Ph.D. in Applied Sociology or relevant field

Job Description

Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Applied Sociology and related areas of specialization.
Evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve and sustain student success.
Demonstrate the ability to teach a range of specialized courses in Applied Sociology and other courses related to the candidate's academic expertise.
Engage in high-quality, original research and publish regularly in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and Clarivate Web of Science.
Supervise undergraduate student projects, field training, and graduate theses, and provide academic and professional mentoring.
Support and contribute to curriculum development, program review, and course management in accordance with University standards and Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) requirements.
Contribute effectively to college and university initiatives, academic committees, research activities, and constructive proposals and projects.
Support and participate actively in accreditation, quality assurance, and program review initiatives at local and international levels.
Establish and maintain research, academic, professional, and community partnerships that enhance the University's academic and societal impact.
Promote and guide students in envisioning their future careers in local, regional, and international contexts and ensure that they are equipped to meet professional and academic challenges.
Maintain positive and professional relationships with students that are conducive to effective learning and academic development.
Initiate and participate in meaningful community engagement activities that contribute to the College, the University, and the wider community.

General Conditions

A proven track record of teaching and research excellence at the university level, with a minimum of 5 years of higher education teaching and research experience.
A strong and consistent record of research and publication in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and Clarivate Web of Science.
Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, program development, and academic course management.
Experience in accreditation, quality assurance, and academic program review processes, preferably in accordance with CAA standards.
Dedication to continued professional development and scholarly advancement.
Ability to communicate effectively in both Arabic and English, orally and in writing.
Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple academic and professional priorities effectively.
Advanced use of technology in the education process, including presentations, e-learning systems, digital learning tools, academic reporting, and related technologies.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interactive and multidisciplinary academic environment.
Commitment to the highest standards of academic integrity, professionalism, teaching excellence, and scholarly responsibility.
Willingness to provide all necessary and required academic, administrative, research, and community services to the University and College.
