Gulf Theological Seminary is seeking a full-time, residential Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Biblical Studies (New Testament or Old Testament).
This role will shape church planters, pastors, and ministry leaders for the least-reached part of the world by teaching courses in hermeneutics, exegesis, Old Testament, and/or New Testament, mentoring students, and producing scholarship that serves the church. Faculty may also have other leadership or administrative duties in support of the overall mission and vision of Gulf Theological Seminary.
Specific disciplinary focus and academic level of the role to be tailored to the training and experience of successful candidate.
Candidates must be willing to raise support and relocate to Dubai, where GTS is based.
Institutional SummaryGulf Theological Seminary was founded in 2016 to train pastors and church planters for the 10/40 Window. We offer M.Div., M.A., and other programs accredited by the European Council for Theological Education (ECTE). As of 2025, at sites in Dubai and Abu Dhabi we are training more than two hundred students from thirty different countries. Courses are taught in English. We emphasize theological education in and for local churches, and are affiliated with Redeemer Church of Dubai, the Evangelical Church of Abu Dhabi, and selected international mission organizations.
