The Program Director for Expo 2030 Global Readiness & Infrastructure is a senior leadership role that will be pivotal in steering and managing comprehensive strategic initiatives aimed at preparing our organization for the successful execution of Expo 2030. This position requires an expert in program management who possesses a deep understanding of global events, infrastructure planning, and inclusive community engagement. The incumbent will lead cross-functional teams to design, implement, and oversee the infrastructural projects that ensure the expo's operational efficiency, sustainability, and alignment with the global goals. A key component of this role includes liaising with governmental bodies, international partners, and public stakeholders to foster collaborative approaches that enhance readiness and maximize the expo's impact. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of leading large-scale programs with high complexity and cross-regional implications, exemplifying strong analytical, leadership, and strategic thinking competencies.

Job Requirements

  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in program management, ideally within large-scale international events or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a high-pressure environment, showcasing a collaborative and inclusive management style.
  • Extensive knowledge of global infrastructure standards and best practices, combined with experience in executing projects within community and cultural contexts.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate stakeholder engagement and partnership development, including experience negotiating with public and private sector entities.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and a proven ability to navigate and solve complex programmatic challenges.
  • A track record of success in managing budgets and financial resources effectively and efficiently within large-scale programs.
  • Advanced project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are strongly preferred.
  • Experience in sustainability practices and their integration into large infrastructure projects, aligning with global agendas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the strategic plan for the Expo 2030 Global Readiness and Infrastructure Program, ensuring alignment with the overall vision and objectives of the expo.
  • Directly manage a diverse team of professionals, fostering an inclusive and innovative culture while ensuring that project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with governmental authorities and international organizations to secure necessary permits, approvals, and funding for infrastructural developments needed for the expo.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, sponsors, and partners, to promote buy-in and support for all program initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance through robust metrics and KPIs, making recommendations for adjustments as necessary to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Advocate for the integration of sustainable practices into all facets of the program, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Lead risk management assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential challenges and obstacles that may impede program success.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to upper management and stakeholders, highlighting program progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
