The Program Manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple interrelated projects that support strategic business objectives. This role plays a key part in aligning projects with organizational goals, managing dependencies, and ensuring program outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Program Manager leads cross-functional teams, engages stakeholders at all levels, and ensures full compliance with governance standards and internal frameworks.
This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a proven ability to manage complex, high-impact programs across multiple workstreams. Candidates must hold a relevant IT degree and a valid PMP certification.
Strategic Planning
- Define overall program vision, goals, and strategic roadmap.
- Develop and maintain a detailed program management plan (scope, timeline, resources, risk, governance).
- Identify project interdependencies and sequence workstreams accordingly.
- Prepare project execution plans, project charters, and schedules.
- Track milestone achievement aligned with strategic objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify and engage internal and external stakeholders (e.g., sponsors, vendors, project teams).
- Communicate program updates, changes, and risks to all stakeholders.
- Manage expectations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Conduct client-facing meetings including kick-offs and regular status updates.
- Improve stakeholder satisfaction through clear, timely communication.
Resource Management
- Allocate resources efficiently across multiple projects.
- Review and approve hiring requests to fulfill project needs.
- Monitor team utilization and realign resources as needed.
- Ensure the right talent and skillset is assigned to each workstream.
Program Governance & Oversight
- Establish and maintain governance framework (reporting, steering committees, change control).
- Monitor overall program health including schedule, budget, scope, and risk.
- Provide consolidated reporting across all projects under the program.
- Identify program-level risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead change control process to ensure minimal disruption to program delivery.
Special Projects
- Lead and deliver business-critical or ad-hoc projects as assigned by senior management.
- Ensure timely execution, cost control, and high quality of deliverables.
Coaching & Mentoring
- Support team development through coaching, mentoring, and regular feedback.
- Conduct performance reviews and assist with professional growth.
MIS & Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely reports aligned with internal policies and 2P standards.
- Maintain documentation for audits, reviews, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
- At least 7 years of experience in project/program management with a strong delivery record.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-project programs.
- Excellent skills in strategic thinking, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional coordination.
- Familiarity with program governance, change control, and performance tracking frameworks.
