Program Manager, Dubai Campus, McDonough School of Business - Georgetown University
This role represents a foundation-building opportunity within the McDonough School of Business, as it will support the establishment of graduate degree program offerings in Athens, Greece, through a partnership with the Public Power Corporation (PPC), the country's leading integrated electric utility and largest power provider. Through this partnership, Georgetown will deliver graduate education in Athens, launching the Executive Master's in Leadership (EML) program in the 2026-2027 academic year, followed by the M.S. in Environment and Sustainability Management (ESM) program – a joint degree offering with Georgetown's Earth Commons Institute – in the subsequent year. The programs may run in parallel or on an alternating basis, and additional programs may be introduced in future years, under an initial 10-year agreement with PPC.
The Program Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and orchestrating the student-facing elements of Georgetown programs in Greece. Key responsibilities include facilitating program operations, student services, event planning, and faculty/academic support to ensure that all facets of the degree programs are delivered with high quality, a high-touch approach, and professionalism. This level of effort may extend to off-site activities in Athens, Greece, as well as international components such as residencies or modules held abroad. The Program Manager may also be asked to travel and support program operations in Dubai, UAE – where McDonough maintains a branch campus – for any degree, custom program, or short executive education courses that may arise. The Program Manager may also be asked to provide administrative support for admissions and business development efforts (and associated staff) in Athens and the region (e.g., help arrange meetings between sponsor company representatives and Georgetown staff responsible for recruiting and business development).
This position will require regular communication and collaboration with mid-career to executive students, seasoned faculty, and diverse faculty and staff across the university and different time zones, as well as external vendors and service providers. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt and work well in a small, dynamic team and startup environment are essential for success in this role.
Core Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Lead day-to-day program operations for graduate degree offerings in Athens, ensuring seamless delivery of academic and student-facing activities.
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality student services for mid-career and executive learners.
- Plan and execute program-related events, residencies, and international modules, including logistics in Greece and abroad.
- Provide operational and administrative support to faculty, including classroom readiness.
- Support operations, admissions, and business development by coordinating meetings, managing logistics, and liaising with corporate partners and vendors.
Work Interactions
Based at the Georgetown building at 42 Kraterou Zografou, Athens, this role serves as a critical bridge between McDonough's global hubs and a key connection between the Academic Director, faculty, and others who are largely based in Washington, DC. The role will report to the Dubai-based Director of Program Management and Academic Operations, maintaining a close partnership with the Dubai team while simultaneously collaborating with faculty and staff from McDonough's Office of the Dean, Graduate & Executive Degree Programs, Admissions, and Finance, as well as the Earth Commons Institute, and other central offices on Georgetown's Hilltop Campus in Washington, DC.
Requirements And Qualifications
- BA/BS required.
- Professionals with 6+ years of experience in operations/program/events management.
- Ability to work well with mid- to senior-level executives and faculty members, as well as a deep commitment to establishing strong relationships with students enrolled in the Athens-based degree programs.
- Must be capable of working efficiently with Canvas, Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel, as well as the Google Suite of software.
- Fluency in Greek and English is required.
- The incumbent must reside within easy commuting distance of the Georgetown building in Athens, or be willing to relocate to within easy commuting distance of Athens at their own expense.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in higher education or a customer-centric industry (e.g. hospitality, retail, etc.) and/or familiarity with the educational landscape in Greece or the Southeastern European region is a plus.
- Exhibit the ability to bring a fresh and entrepreneurial perspective, creating enthusiasm around a shared vision for operational efficiency and customer service to create a solid foundation for Georgetown in Greece.

Pay Range
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$47,586.00 - $87,558.13
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
