Programming Producer / Show Director

Role Summary

We are seeking a senior Programming Producer / Show Director to lead the creative planning and live delivery of the on-stage programme for a major festival. This role will shape the nightly audience experience, oversee show flow and talent, and ensure every live moment is delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and direct the complete on-stage programme for each festival night.
• Create and manage the nightly show flow: host-country opening moments, team or nation takeovers, music, dance, video content, DJ sets, and the drum procession.
• Lead the creative execution of pre-match entertainment, warm-up moments, half-time shows, and other live programme elements.
• Coordinate with production, technical, operations, broadcast, and venue teams to deliver each show safely, on time, and to plan.
• Show-call during live delivery and make real-time decisions when required.
• Book, brief, schedule, and manage performers, musicians, dancers, cultural acts, DJs, and entertainment partners.
• Develop running orders, cue sheets, call sheets, rehearsal schedules, and show reports.
• Lead rehearsals and ensure performers and production partners understand all roles, timings, entrances, exits, and safety requirements.
• Maintain creative quality and manage programme-related budgets and supplier requirements with the core team.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of live show production, rehearsals, running orders, cueing, and on-site show delivery.
• Strong decision-making skills in a fast-moving live environment.
• Highly organised and able to coordinate multiple programme elements and diverse teams at the same time.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Show Director, Show Caller, Programming Producer, or similar senior live-events role.
• Strong background in festivals, concerts, ceremonies, sports entertainment, large-scale events, or live cultural programming.
• Experience booking and managing performers, artists, musicians, dancers, cultural acts, and entertainment suppliers.
  
  

Experience Requirement

Senior-level experience required in live events show direction/production.
