Position Overview
As a Progress OpenEdge Developer, you will work with our Multipub product, designing and implementing projects and new client deployments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL (Advanced Business Language)
- Design, code, test, and debug complex programs
- Optimize existing applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Implement database design and modifications using Progress Database
- Collaborate with our Product team to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
- Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation
- Support the migration of legacy systems to modern architectures
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Progress OpenEdge Development (Version 11.x or higher)
- Strong proficiency in Progress ABL/4GL programming
- Experience with Progress Database administration and performance tuning
- Familiarity with source control systems
- Understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Progress Dynamics/WebSpeed
- Experience with WinForms
- Familiarity with Docker containerization
- Experience with private cloud platforms
- Experience building or maintaining audience and subscription management systems
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
