Key Responsibilities
Local Project Delivery Leadership
- Act as the primary local construction lead and key point of contact coordinating contractors, consultants, authorities, and internal stakeholders for logistics and industrial projects in Abu Dhabi.
- Lead end-to-end construction delivery of logistics and industrial projects from mobilization to handover.
- Overall coordination of design, procurement, construction, and handover activities on site.
- Identify and manage construction, technical, regulatory, cost, and schedule risks.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Building Codes, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, Abu Dhabi Civil Defense requirements, Abu Dhabi Municipality regulations, Estidama/PEARL requirements, relevant international standards and other relevant authorities (e.g., KEZAD, AD-Ports)
Design Coordination & Compliance Management
- Lead coordination with local designers and consultants to integrate approved technical solutions into the design.
- Coordinate with local designers and consultants to ensure designs comply with UAE regulations, authority requirements, and project standards.
- Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with local codes, authority requirements, and safety standards.
- Manage authority submissions, approvals, and compliance with UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and relevant international standards.
Procurement & Supply Chain Support
- Support procurement activities by conducting local market research, supplier sourcing, and technical evaluations.
- Assist in defining procurement strategies and technical specifications to achieve optimal cost and quality.
- Ensure supply chain stability, quality compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of long-lead items and critical materials.
- Assist in defining technical scopes, specifications, and contract requirements.
Reporting, Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement
- Provide regular progress, cost, and risk reports to management and overseas teams.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical, quality, cost, or schedule issues during construction.
- Capture lessons learned, site feedback and performance data, and contribute to continuous improvement of construction standards and delivery methods.
Contractor and Interface Management:
- Identify, manage, and mitigate interface risks arising from split contracts and multiple subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain package interface matrices, responsibility demarcation documents, and sequencing plans to mitigate scope gaps and interface risks.
- Maintain a live interface risk register and ensure responsibilities are clearly assigned and communicated.
- Manage cross-trade coordination meetings and resolve interface-related conflicts between subcontractors to avoid delays and claims.
- Lead coordination workshops with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve interface and sequencing challenges.
