Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Job Title: Project Control Engineer.

Sector/Business Line: ElSewedy Electric T&D.

Scope: Transmission & Distribution.

Department: Project Controls.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop, review, and maintain detailed project schedules (baseline & updates) using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
  • Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) aligned with project scope and contract requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and identify schedule deviations and critical path impacts.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure schedule alignment.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost loading, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Track actual costs versus budget and analyze cost variances.
  • Support project teams in forecasting Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC).
  • Assist in monitoring subcontractor payments and cost commitments
  • Develop project progress measurement systems and KPIs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
  • Monitor productivity, quantities installed vs planned, and earned value analysis (EVA).
  • Highlight risks, delays, and cost overruns with mitigation recommendations.
  • Identify project risks and support in preparing mitigation plans.
  • Support evaluation of variations, claims, and change orders.
  • Assist in delay analysis and extension of time (EOT) submissions when required.
  • Attend project meetings and provide planning and cost control inputs.
  • Coordinate with QS, procurement, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Support audits, internal reviews, and management reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company project control procedures and client standards.

Direct Manager: Project Controls Team Leader.

Education Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • 3–5 years experience in project control within electrical / power contracting companies.
  • Proven experience in Substation, OHTL, or Underground Cable projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, cost control, and reporting systems.
  • Experience working in GCC / UAE projects is highly preferred.
